Each product can have multiple variations, on the basis of size, color, material type, etc. Each of these variations will be a separate SKU in Primaseller. A product can have a single or multiple variants.

If you have multiple variants for a product, each variant should have a unique variation value based on up to 5 variation parameters.

For products with variations, you will be required to configure the variation parameters and values.

To configure variations:

  1. Click on the Settings icon.

  2. Click on Products and SKU’s -> Variant Configuration

  3. Click on New Variation Parameter

  4. Provide a Variation label Name and Variation Values.

  5. Click on Save.

Barcode Sequence

A barcode is an OMR representation of data relating to the object to which it is attached to. You can enable the 'Barcode Sequence' in Primaseller to auto-generate a unique barcode for each SKU in sequence.

  1. Click on Settings

  2. Click Products and SKU’s

  3. Select Barcode Sequence

  4. Enable Generate Barcode Automatically

  5. Select the number of digits from the drop-down.

  6. Enter the Prefix– Ex: AAA

  7. Fill the Next Barcode Starts From – Ex: 2020 or 1

  8. Click on Save

While it is always recommended that you generate your own Product Code/SKU Code – you can choose to automate it by using the Primaseller sequence.

Product Code Sequence

In most channels, you can have variations of products based on different parameters.

Enabling 'Product Code Sequence' will ensure that Primaseller automatically assigns a unique 'Product Code' to each product that you create.

  1. Click On Settings.

  2. Click On Products and SKU’s

  3. Select Product Code Sequence.

  4. Enable Generate Product Code Automatically

  5. Enter Prefix. Ex: PRD

  6. Enter a number for Next Product Code Starts From. Ex: 1

  7. Click On Save.

SKU Code Sequence

Primaseller has Products that depict your catalog and each Product has an SKU which is the key inventory object.

Stock Keeping Unit or SKU, is a distinct type of item for sale, such as a product or service, and all attributes associated with the item type that distinguish it from other item types.

For an SKU, these attributes could include (but are not limited to) manufacturer, description, material, size, color, packaging, warranty terms, etc.

  1. Click On Settings.

  2. Click On Products and SKU’s

  3. Select SKU Code Sequence.

  4. Enable Generate SKU Code Automatically

  5. Enter Prefix. Ex: SKU

  6. Enter Next Product Code Starts From. Ex: 1

  7. Click On Save

Units Of Measurement

You can set your preferred units of measurement in which you want your product dimensions to be saved and displayed. The dimension units that you set here will be the default units you will see when creating SKUs.

Configure Units of measurement:

  1. Click On Settings.

  2. Click On Products and SKU’s

  3. Select Units Of Measurements.

  4. In the drop-down select Default Size Unit and Default Weight Unit.
